Thomas M. Eagan has practiced maritime and transportation law for over four decades, representing both logistics providers (including ship owners) and shippers. As a maritime and transportation lawyer, he has handled matters related to logistics contracts, inland and trucking transportation, ocean transportation, and air transportation, among other logistics matters. Mr. Eagan has participated in dozens of successful complex logistics mediations nationwide.

Mr. Eagan first practiced maritime law with Mooney & Eagan in New York, eventually becoming a partner. In over forty years of practice, Mr. Eagan has gained substantial experience in many aspects of transportation and maritime law, including cargo claims; demurrage disputes; insurance coverage; vessel purchase, finance, and registration; representing vessel owners and cargo interests in charter party disputes in court and in New York and London arbitration; and maritime personal injury. He has been named as one of the Best Lawyers in America.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Politics cum laude from Fairfield University and his law degree with honors from George Washington University in Washington, D.C. While attending law school, Mr. Eagan clerked for the U.S. Coast Guard, Division of Maritime and International Law, and handled a variety of water pollution and marine safety matters.

Mr. Eagan served for 10 years on the Zoning Board of Adjustment in Maplewood, NJ. He has more recently performed pro bono work for the International Senior Lawyers Project in New York City, providing Law of the Sea Treaty guidance to a developing country.
